Logbook – day 23 by ALEX

Hello,

Wednesday January 25th, the swell and the wind dropped this morning imposing a motor navigation during some stints to be able to follow us on the water.

The revolution is on board today, mapa gloves, sponges, mops, disinfectant and vacuum cleaner are out. It’s spring cleaning time, looking for and destroying the moths and cockroaches that have made their appearance.

Fighting is going on! A team of shock is set up to avoid the proliferation of the beasts and consequently the contamination of our food. Our 2 tornadoes of the household, Marie and Margot, start in the morning by cleaning and disinfecting the whole kitchen. Timothy takes over by vacuuming and cleaning all our food supplies. He throws away some opened cans and broken eggs… Elodie and Chrys continue by disinfecting and eradicating the few moths in the kitchen drawers.

It’s like at the beginning of the pandemic when we disinfected the packets of pasta and rice before putting them away in our drawers. We all thought the danger would come from the ocean but not from the closets!!!

To close this day, Marie has just had the surprise visit of a rather curious dolphin animating the end of her relay.

We think of you all and thank you again for your messages.

Kisses
