Logbook – Day 11 by ALEX

Hello to all,,
11 days that we are at sea. We continue our advance towards Moorea.
Last night was rather rough according to the rowers, but the sailors assure that the conditions were the same as during the day. At night, everything is exacerbated: the swell is bigger, the wind stronger and the night darker.
There were still some stints delayed because a “squall” was passing by with stronger wind gusts. The passage of the boat on our kayak/raft, which only knew the cold waters of our Pyrenees, is delicate in these conditions. Everyone has to be attentive and responsive to make sure everything goes smoothly. Under the protective eye of our “supervisors”, the sailors are awake for each maneuver to secure this technical passage. Everything is going perfectly well.
Every night, we have the pleasure to have the generator humming (to remain polite!) for a few hours to recharge the batteries and the fresh water reserves of Noumène. Apparently, our mechanic on board will have some small repairs to do on the watermaker.
During the day, no great encounter with the marine fauna. Some birds and flying fishes continue to escort us during our relays.
We are thinking hard about our families, friends, supporters, schools and all the optimists on land.
Thank you again for all your messages that make us feel so good.
Kisses.
Alex, waterwomen
