Logbook – Day 5 by ITZIAR

Hello to all from the Pacific Ocean on board Noumène.
Last night we had our first team briefing. Over dinner, we talked about areas of improvement for the next few weeks, the positives and how everyone felt. From a general point of view, the whole crew is very happy, everyone knows what their mission is and together we form a great team. It was great to be able to get the whole team together, even if it was only for a short time, and to share each other’s experiences (as everyone has their own team during the day).
The day gave us another beautiful sunset in the middle of the ocean and the night was quiet, paddling under the light of the full moon and the blanket of stars: this allowed us not to use the headlamp and thus not to attract flying fish (which are constantly with us). We were also accompanied all night by small jellyfish, which we felt at each descent, and some girls put on their gloves.
Every morning, the ocean has a surprise in store for me… yesterday a baby shark and today a beautiful turtle, even if I ended up with a Portuguese jellyfish sting on my arm.
The day was calm, quite warm, the sea is calm, which allows us to enjoy life on the boat and each arrival in the middle of the ocean.
Kisses from Noumène.
